KYSPRA Award Winner Stuffs More Buses

Named after the National School Public Relations Association's flag, the Flag of Learning & Liberty Award is given annually to a person, group or corporation outside the education field who have made a significant contribution to public education in Kentucky.

KYSPRA’s 2013 recipient of the Flag of Learning & Liberty Award, Tony Rose and SAM 100.7 FM recently concluded another successful event collecting school supplies for students in southern Kentucky. In the event’s 9th year, more than 9 tons of supplies filled buses July 24-28, 2014, to be distributed to over 10 school districts and area after-school programs. Partnerships with the local television station, WBKO, many, many sponsor organizations, and volunteers, as well as social media contributed to the success of the event. Stuff the Bus was trending with "stuffers" throughout the weekend on Twitter (@tonyroseshow; #stb), Facebook, and Instagram (tonyroselive).
